Hundertwasser such an amazing man

Finally his Art Centre has gone to plan

An amazing building with turret and dome made of gold

On the skyline she stands tall, bright and bold

An equally colourful character in all he'd do

His signature colours bright red and blue

His buildings such a unique design

With curved walls never a straight line

Loved the spiral his favourite theme

And way into nature green and clean

Aboard his boat adorned with colourful sails

Off abroad for more adventurous tales

Born in Vienna an artist at heart

Enjoyed architecture but an Ace at Art

Paintings in Vienna all on display

Also on show in the centre of Whangarei 

Up in the Bay of Islands is where he chose to live

A generous man with his time he loved to give

He loved enhancing his bare piece of land

Never a boring character of 'beige and bland'

Up from Whangarei just a skip and a hop
